TB 210 S
The TB 210 S is a waist-height, single-passage tripod turnstile with a two-pedestal design. It combines bidirectional electromechanical operation, a 120° rotation cycle and hydraulic damping for indoor and sheltered outdoor installations.
Designed for controlled pedestrian entry, the TB 210 S is suitable for offices, commercial buildings, industrial facilities and transport areas. Its standard mechanism is manually rotated by the user after access authorization, while interfaces for external access control systems allow entry requirements to be configured for the installation.
The housing is supported by two pedestals in a single-passage configuration. A concealed mounting kit keeps floor fixings out of view.
The electromechanical mechanism allows passage to be controlled in either direction. Following access authorization, the user manually rotates the arms through a 120° passage cycle.
The bearing-supported mechanism reduces resistance within the moving assembly, providing approximately 60% less mechanical friction and up to 80% longer service life.
A hydraulic shock absorber dampens movement during the passage cycle. This supports smooth, quiet operation as the rotor moves between its 120° locking positions.
The turnstile provides interfaces for connection to external access control equipment. Reader selection, mounting arrangements and controller compatibility can be defined according to the project’s identification and access requirements.
The TB 210 S combines mains-powered electromechanical control with manually operated rotation in its standard configuration. Actual pedestrian flow depends on the identification process, access control settings and user behaviour.
The specified operating temperature range and IP54 protection class should be considered when selecting the installation location. Outdoor installations should be sheltered, with site conditions reviewed before the final configuration is confirmed.
The following specifications apply to the standard TB 210 S configuration, except where an optional power supply is indicated. Additional equipment and project-specific requirements should be confirmed when requesting a quotation.

The three-arm rotor divides each complete revolution into three 120° passage cycles. After access authorization, the mechanism releases the selected direction and the user manually rotates the arms to pass through. Solenoid locking controls the rotor at each 120° position.
The anti-backtracking mechanism prevents reverse rotation after the rotor has moved through 30°. This helps maintain the intended direction once the passage cycle is underway.
A hydraulic shock absorber controls rotor movement during standard operation. Damping reduces abrupt movement and supports a smoother transition between locking positions.
Flush-mounted LED indicators communicate passage status and direction to users. An integrated buzzer provides audible notification when access authorization is received.
In the event of a power failure or activation of the emergency input, the standard mechanism unlocks to allow free rotation in both directions without access authorization.
The arms remain in place in the standard configuration. Automatic arm lowering is available through the optional drop-arm configurations described below.
Standard AISI 304 Stainless Steel
The housing, rotor head and arms are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel as standard. The two-pedestal construction incorporates a concealed mounting kit.
Optional Powder-Coated Finish
The TB 210 S can be supplied with a powder-coated finish in a choice of colours. A powder-coated steel housing is also available as an alternative to the standard stainless steel housing.
The material specification, colour and components to be finished should be confirmed for the selected configuration.
When requesting a quotation, indicate the installation environment and any specific material or finish requirements.
The TB 210 S is designed to operate with external access control systems. The specified access control interface includes dry contact, 12 VDC and 24 VDC connections.
A dry contact provides a switching signal from external equipment. The appropriate connection method should be selected according to the electrical requirements of the turnstile and the connected controller.
Standard control provisions include:
DIP-switch direction control for configuring the operating direction.
Directional dry contact output for signalling to connected equipment.
Emergency input for connection to an external emergency control arrangement.
The turnstile provides the passage mechanism and control interfaces. Access control software and system-level configuration are provided by the external system supplier or integrator.
Card readers or fingerprint readers can be mounted on the turnstile for integration with an external identification and access control system.
Reader equipment, mounting arrangements, controller compatibility and the scope of integration should be defined for the project.
An optional motorized drive assists rotation of the turnstile arms during passage, reducing the manual effort required from the user.
The horizontal arm lowers automatically upon power failure or activation of the emergency input. Once power is available and the emergency input is inactive, an authorized person manually raises the arm to restore normal operation.
The arm will not remain locked in its raised position while the emergency input is active.
The horizontal arm lowers automatically upon power failure or activation of the emergency input. Once power is available and the emergency input is inactive, the arm returns automatically to its operating position without manual intervention.
The arm remains released while the emergency input is active.
An external remote control option is available for operating the turnstile remotely. Optional PC communication is available through RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 interfaces.
The communication interface and integration scope should be confirmed with the external system supplier or integrator.
A digital counter provides separate entry and exit counts without requiring an external access control system or PC for viewing the totals.
A security photocell detects unauthorized passage beneath the arms and can provide alarm or PC notification.
A load cell platform provides weight-based detection of unauthorized passage attempts, with alarm or PC notification. Detection settings and notification arrangements should be defined for the installation.
A thermostatically controlled ceramic heater is available for low-temperature installations, with a specified operating capability down to −55°C.
The heater and final configuration should be selected according to the installation conditions.
Optional equipment and the final integration scope should be confirmed when requesting a quotation.
