Need a specific finish, reader integration or a tailored configuration? Share your requirements with MK GateTech to discuss the available options for your TBT 3145.
Standard Control Interfaces
The TBT 3145 is designed to operate with external access control systems. The specified access control interface includes dry contact, 12 VDC and 24 VDC connections.
A dry contact provides a switching signal from external equipment. The appropriate connection method should be selected according to the electrical requirements of the turnstile and the connected controller.
Standard control provisions include:
DIP-switch direction control for configuring the operating direction.
Directional dry contact output for signalling to connected equipment.
Emergency input for connection to an external emergency control arrangement.
Optional Reader Integration
Mounting provisions are available for card readers or fingerprint readers. These allow the turnstile to be incorporated into an identification and access authorisation system.
Reader equipment, controller compatibility and the scope of integration should be defined for the project.
Optional Remote & PC Control
An external remote control option is available for operating the turnstile remotely.
For larger installations, optional advanced PC control supports centralized control of up to 256 turnstiles. Optional serial communication is available through RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 interfaces.
Optional Weight Detection Platform
The weight detection platform provides weight-based passage verification, with alarm or PC notification. This option adds a verification function to the passage process.
Optional Token System
A separate floor-mounted token unit is available in powder-coated steel or AISI 304 stainless steel, with an approximate capacity of 7,000 tokens.
The specified tokens measure Ø25 × 2 mm and can be supplied with optional custom markings.
Optional equipment and the final integration scope should be confirmed when requesting a quotation.
The TBT 3145 is available in three construction options, allowing material selection to be discussed according to the installation environment and project specification.
Powder-coated steel
A steel construction with a powder-coated finish. The required colour and finish can be discussed when specifying the product.
AISI 304 stainless steel
A stainless steel construction using AISI 304 material for projects specifying this grade.
Mixed construction
A configuration combining construction materials. The material allocation for individual components should be confirmed as part of the project specification.
When requesting a quotation, indicate the preferred construction option, installation environment and any specific finish requirements.
Controlled Passage Cycle
The three-arm rotor divides each complete revolution into three 120° passage cycles. Electromechanical operation supports bidirectional access, with solenoid locking at each 120° position.
Anti-Backtracking Mechanism
The anti-backtracking mechanism prevents reverse rotation after the rotor has moved through 30°. This helps maintain the intended direction once the passage cycle is underway.
Hydraulic Damping
A hydraulic shock absorber controls rotor movement during operation. Damping reduces abrupt movement and supports a smoother transition between locking positions.
Direction Indicators & Audible Signalling
Flush-mounted LED indicators communicate the passage direction to users. An integrated buzzer provides audible notification as part of the turnstile’s signalling system.
Emergency Passage Mode
The specified emergency mode permits free passage in both directions. An emergency input is provided within the control interface for connection to the installation’s emergency control arrangement.
The full-height structure remains physically in place during this mode; free passage refers to the operation of the rotor.
The specified operating temperature range and IP54 protection class should be considered when selecting the installation location. Site conditions and project requirements should be reviewed before the final configuration is confirmed.
The TBT 3145 combines mains-powered electromechanical operation with a rated throughput of up to 30 persons per minute. Actual pedestrian flow depends on the identification process, access control settings and user behaviour.

Full-height pedestrian access control
The full-height structure creates a physical barrier around a single pedestrian lane, directing users through a controlled passage. The TBT 3145 is designed for installations where regular pedestrian traffic needs to be managed through a defined access point.
Designed for intensive use
A robust, impact-resistant construction and bearing-supported rotor mechanism support frequent operation. The concealed base bearing forms part of the rotor support system.
Reduced mechanical friction
The bearing-supported mechanism is designed to reduce resistance within the moving assembly. The product datasheet specifies approximately 60% less mechanical friction and approximately 70% longer service life.
Smooth, controlled movement
A hydraulic shock absorber dampens rotor movement during the passage cycle. This supports smooth, quiet operation as the rotor moves between its 120° locking positions.
Integration with access control systems
The turnstile provides interfaces for connection to external access control equipment. Optional mounting provisions for card readers or fingerprint readers allow the physical passage point to be combined with the project’s chosen identification method.
The TBT 3145 is a single-lane, full-height turnstile for intensive pedestrian access control. It combines bidirectional electromechanical operation, a 120° rotation cycle and hydraulic damping for indoor and outdoor installations.
Bidirectional electromechanical operation allows passage in either direction, while hydraulic damping supports smooth, quiet rotor movement. The turnstile combines a bearing-supported mechanism, anti-backtracking protection and integrated direction indicators with interfaces for connection to external access control systems.
